Anyone who knows me is aware of my weakness for sophisticated, storytelling rock, so I couldn’t resist introducing you to the new album ‘Dark Matter’ by the  American artist Jessi Robertson.

She’s a remarkably talented musician with a voice that’s both expressive and elegant, moving with ease between tenderness and strength. The album features eight tracks shaped by personal experiences and the challenges of health diagnoses that became not only obstacles but also sources of inspiration.

I’m especially captivated by its gentle DIY sound, which adds an authentic, handcrafted spirit with a touch of retro warmth. Alongside the vocals, the guitars stand out too, shifting between vibrant moments and smooth, atmospheric riffs.
